Another Gentile Opportunity
John 10:16 - And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
If there are other sheep in other parts of the world as the Savior mentions above, shouldn't there be records left by those people of their dealings with God, just like we find in biblical records? Isn't God the same, never changing? His gospel the same? His work among men in all countries, the same? The Book Of Mormon is a collection of ancient prophetic writings about other sheep coming to what is now known as the Americas.
The Book Of Mormon record was preserved to come forth after the reformation period, in North America. It was published in 1830. God in His wisdom preserved it to come forth at just the right time. A prophet was given the record by God to have published to the word. It was given to help prepare a people for Zion and the Second Coming in the last days. It was also a tangible proof that God was once again doing something important among men.
If you were not raised LDS, please take a look at the Book of Mormon. Not to convince you to join the LDS church, but to see for yourselves the true stories of ancient prophets living among a fallen people, to see just how they connected with God even in their own dire situations. To see how other regular people went on individual paths to obtain the Fullness of the Gospel.
We should seek to cease our arguments, judgements, comparing who is right and who is best among the organized religions of today and work together. All are God's children. Let us put away our divisions, our strifes, our contention. Look to the Lord for your leadership, then we will all see eye to eye and we will be more like Him, having a proper understanding of all things because we all learn from the same Teacher.
The Fullness Was Offered Again
After the Lord brought forth the Book Of Mormon, a restoration of Zion was attempted in 1830-1844. Things didn't work out like the Lord wanted, but probably went just as He expected. The Latter-day Saints did not receive what God offered to them at that time. The Nauvoo temple was not completed before the LDS prophet was taken from them. The church was again removed out of it's place (a curse, not a blessing). The church has not brought about Zion and the Second Coming has not occurrred. A thorough search of the Doctrines and Covenants and Church History will reveal another failure at receiving what God has always wanted among His people. If you are LDS you should read THIS BLOG POST to have a better understanding on this matter. Please read, pray and ponder.
The world always mistook false prophets for true ones, and those that were sent of God, they considered to be false prophets and hence they killed, stoned, punished and imprisoned the true prophets, and these had to hide themselves in deserts and dens, and caves of the earth, and though the most honorable men of the earth, they banished them from their society as vagabonds, whilst they cherished, honored and supported knaves, vagabonds, hypocrites, impostors, and the basest of men." Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith Pg. 205
Though most of the church leaders and members have assumed that "all is well" since losing their Prophet in Nauvoo, a few in our day have and are learning the truth of our history. This group began as a small remnant of LDS people who were awakened by the Lord or by others sharing His message. Though living our entire lives in a church that had become our culture, our way of life... we had to go through the rough process of learning that things are not as we assumed all our lives. Then we had to endure extreme hardships when our LDS family and friends began alienating us and even casting some out of their marriages and losing their church membership... simply for understanding that things are not as they should be among the church. Trying to share what we have learned with LDS friends and family has been tremendously difficult. The pride, the thinking that things have been fine and that the modern leaders still hold God's higher Priesthood and the saving keys since Nauvoo... as well as thinking about how much the church has grown and seeing all the worldy acclaim the church has in our modern day... only increases the pride.
God Sends a Messenger
So the Lord determined to send the LDS leaders and members a message. He uses a man who He prepared for 40 years to do the job. The man didn't know exactly what the Lord fully had in mind to do with him, but the man was obedient. This man wrote books that was becoming more known to the LDS world. The first one was 'The Second Comforter'. The second was 'Come Let Us Adore Him'. In 2012, this man writes another book titled 'Passing the Heavenly Gift'. The book goes into church history and uses scripture and facts to show that the church has been suffering more than it has been blessed. It was a message not well received. The church leaders (local and general) demanded that he stop publishing the book and not give a series of lectures he was planning on giving throughout the Rockies (where the LDS are found in large numbers). The church heads were asking him to obey them, instead of the Lord. He continues publishing the book and begins giving his lectures September of 2013. Since he did not do as they demanded, then they chose to inflict punishment as a way to force him to be compelled to do as they wish. They cancel his church membership. Denver (the messenger) did not want to lose his membership. He valued the good that was still found in the church. He hoped the church leaders would take the message and see it in the light it was given. The message was really a reminder to lower our pride and see that our history is not as rosy as most LDS assume. They refused to see it that way. They considered him apostate against God's priestly leaders (them). After all, who was this lay member to connect with the Lord and give His message to them.
This messenge was the Lord giving the church leaders a second opportunity to have the return of the fullness and of Zion. For sure the Lord fore-knew the outcome.
God has sent messengers in the past to the organized priests and religions of old. They were mostly rejected. Interestingly enough, they are usually rejected by the most organized religious groups. If God follows His own patterns, it should not be difficult to assume it could happen again, even in our day.
if a prophet come among you and declareth unto you the word of the Lord, which testifieth of your sins and iniquities, ye are angry with him, and cast him out and seek all manner of ways to destroy him; yea, you will say that he is a false prophet, and that he is a sinner, and of the devil, because he testifieth that your deeds are evil. But behold, if a man shall come among you and shall say: Do this, and there is no iniquity; do that and ye shall not suffer; yea, he will say: Walk after the pride of your own hearts; yea, walk after the pride of your eyes, and do whatsoever your heart desireth- and if a man shall come among you and say this, ye will receive him, and say that he is a prophet. Yea, ye will lift him up, and ye will give unto him of your substance; ye will give unto him of your gold, and of your silver, and ye will clothe him with costly apparel; and because he speaketh flattering words unto you, and he saith that all is well, then ye will not find fault with him." Helaman 13:25-28 (Book Of Mormon)
Final Rejection Occurs
Denver continues to attend Church. He is an odd apostate to church leaders, still attending church as usual. He also continues giving his lectures with a large attendance of LDS members. Denver persues the formal appeal process to obtain his membership back. He was not guilty of some serious transgression that usually removes members from church records. In fact, he was one of the most faithful members for 40 years. His appeal begins with his local area leaders. It goes through the Seventies, then the twelve and eventually to the First Presidency. All of them had a hand in denying the appeal. Bless their hearts. They had mistakenly cast out a man who had done what every Mormon is taught to do in their own temples. What all of our scriptures teach. Even though similar things have happened in the Book of Mormon and the Bible... they could not believe God would use a lay member underneath them to preach repentance to them.
By April 2014, the Lord had tried to give the church enough time to accept Denver's appeal. They do not. So, the Lord decides to move forward with a small remnant of the LDS people. You can hear all about that in Denver's Lecture in September of 2014. The Lord had performed a part of His strange act, an act we will see more of and more clearly in the future.
A New Movement Begins
Since September of 2014, the small awakening LDS remnant began to organize to a small degree. As the Lord had begun something new with John the Baptist and the Savior nearly 2,000 years ago, the Lord had taken the remaining priestly authority remaining with the LDS leaders and chose to continue it through the small awakening LDS remnant. This time the organization is different. There is no need for costly church buildings. No need to create a 501c3 corporation for tax deductions (and to become married to the taxing governments). No need for another church President that members mistakenly rely too much upon. Tithing is collected and given for the poor as community members choose to prayerfully give it. We began to hold home meetings. We are baptized in fresh outdoor waters. Many beheld signs in the heavens on their day of Baptism. A conference was held on the top of a Mesa. Meetings are held in buildings donated for occasional meeting use. Members of our fellowship began to look after one another. They are coming to see that true religion is only as good as we live it. Many have had revelations. Some have beheld the Lord in vision that seemed as real as actually being there. Some have seen miraculous healings. Some have learned new things from Heaven not fully undestood before. Some have had what 2 Peter 1:10-11 talks about.
Things are just beginning. Another opportunity to prepare for Zion is being given to Christians in America and soon to all others as well. You can be a part of our fellowship even if you choose to continue to stay with your organized religion. Remember that this is a possibility, a chance for God to prepare and use us for the latter day gathering of Christians, of Israel and all who will come. To be the future people He can use to build that end time Zion that is prophesied to come. To have a chance to be His people, and He our God. The God who can lead us into that Holy City and into the Millennium. A God whose presense we hope to endure when He returns again for that often talked about Second Coming event. These are no doubt the last days. God will redeem Zion and gather some of the posterity of the ancient Patriarchs and Prophets of old as prophesied. Who will be there depends on who hears these truths and who acts of them. Those who can hear the words of the Lord coming through true messengers and can hear Him for themselves. The time is close at hand!!!
Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Matthew 24:14 - And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
There will be many who voice their opinion that whatever organization they currently find themselves in, is where you should be. But now is the time to search the scriptures and to obtain the word of the Lord for yourselves. Go where HE wants you to be. Either this is His doing, or it isn't. If you are advised by the Lord to join in our effort and want to see the amazing act continue to unfold with us, we would like to see you rub shoulders with us.
It is a thin veil, not a wall, that separates you from God. Do not let it become insurmountable. It was always meant to be parted.
Fear is the opposite of faith.
Do not let borrowed fears become the barrier to your faith.
Men cannot save you, but they can condemn you. You cannot respect men too much without respecting God too little.
Religion has been the source of most of mankind's cruelty, rebellion and apostasy. Never think your own religious observances can or will connect you with God. They are only habits until you reach out and speak with God directly. Ministers, priests, Rabbis, Elders, preachers, Fathers, Presidents, Apostles and even prophets are not God. Nor should any of these roles be allowed to distance you from God.
Saving belief requires you to accept the truth. Saving faith requires you to act in conformity with correct belief. Saving knowledge comes from contact with God." - Denver Snuffer
Before going on to the next page, please take the time to ask/plead/cry unto the Lord to see if this is something He wants you to be a part of. Try to hear His message to you from deep within your heart and mind.
Please do not join if you intend to proselyte others into your organized religion or group. Many here are members of local churches already. This is a non-denominational and open community for like minded believers who want the fullness of the gospel and Zion in all it's glory to be restored back to earth.
